Halda Watch Co.

Halda Watch Co. was founded in 1887 by watchmaker and entrepreneur Henning Hammarlund as the first watch manufacturing facility in northern Europe. To meet his own exacting standards Henning built his own machines that were used to produce every component for the watch movements, no matter how small.

Halda is the basis for several other successful Swedish companies. These include fishing reel manufacturer ABU Garcia and Haldex, the producer of four-wheel drive and gearboxes for Porsche, Bugatti and Lamborghini. Today, Halda has produced watches for NASA astronauts as well as Formula One drivers.
