Nezumi

David Campo, founder and designer of Nezumi® has been a classic watch enthusiast for as long as he can remember. Of Spanish/Swedish heritage, David’s upbringing in the United States cultivated his passion for music, classic cars, and fashion. Inspired by the 80’s and 90’s which he spent in the US, David reflects on the profound impact of skateboarding, heavy metal music, and fashion, particularly influenced by his friend’s father, renowned stage clothing tailor Ray Brown.

While David initially pursued a career in art direction and worked with many well known international fashion brands, the urge for autonomy led him to create Nezumi® in 2011. It began as a side project with focus on denim and leather products which transitioned to watches in 2015, a pivotal moment prompting David to dedicate himself fully to Nezumi.

A lifelong passion for watches, coupled with familial ties to watchmaking, culminated in David’s first watch design, the Voiture, which gained significant traction through Kickstarter. This marked the beginning of Nezumi’s ascent, with subsequent timepieces reflecting David’s eclectic taste for aesthetics and visuals.
